Forgivness, Fear, and Love?

Forgiveness, Fear, Love

Ps. 130: 4 But there is forgiveness with You, That You may be feared.

Why would forgiveness bring fear to God? Shouldn't this verse be "but there is forgiveness with you, that you may be 'Loved'?" Isn't that the way we think? God's forgiveness for us makes us love Him more? Why would His forgiveness make us 'fear' Him more? Or be in awe of Him?

Psalms 139:14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

2nd Stanza of 'Amazing Grace'
’Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed!

God's amazing grace, relentless forgiveness, and unfathomable riches of His mercy ought to bring our hearts to fear. When we see a great mountain, or the Grand Canyon, our hearts would be awed by the beauty of thescenery . In the same way, as we realize the depth of our sins and transgressions, and the height of His forgiveness, our hearts cannot help but fear Him.

This thought is so against today's pop Christianity 'God is love' thing, but it is the central truth of our Bible.
